Medical Errors are the 3rd leading cause of death in the U.S.  To address this challenge, ION Medical Safety, a non-profit organization is developing the World’s first learning healthcare system the PRECISE Surgical System™.  Designed with advanced technologies, the system will revolutionize surgery by enabling learning healthcare research, developing surgical best practices, delivering personalized patient centered care, and improving patient outcomes.   At ION Medical Safety we prevent medical errors and save lives.

 

The PRECISE TECH Corporation, a for profit public benefits corporation, will offer the PRECISE Surgical System™ and ION Life application to surgical facilities at zero cost.  Each custom system implementation will include trainings and certifications, clinical pathway franchising and medical malpractice insurance offerings generating hundreds of millions in revenue.

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Summary/Objective:

 

Directs overarching strategy for corporate engagement activities. Leads a team to increase the level of investment, grow relationships, and raise the profile of ION Medical Safety as a charitable cause among corporations. Responsible for developing and implementing fundraising and engagement strategies with corporations and promoting stock offerings for the PRECISE TECH Corporation. This position initiates and leads the team’s effort to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward current and prospective sponsors, cause partners, and investors.  In collaboration with senior leaders, responsible for goal setting and meeting and/or exceeding annual established revenue goals for funds raised from sponsorships, cause partnerships and stock campaigns.

 

SCOPE:

​

  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding corporate engagement team fundraising goals of approximately $3.5 million to over $5 million annually for sponsorships, cause marketing and stock investments in the PRECISE TECH Corporation.

  • Individual fundraising goals, based on assigned portfolio, related to sponsorship solicitation of approximately $250,000 to $500,000 dollars annually.

  • Collaborates With: Sr. Foundation leaders, and corporate donation administrators.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Exhibits guiding behaviors that reflect ION Medical Safety values to support our vision and mission.

  • Directs overall strategy for all sponsorship, cause partnership and stock investment activities to ensure a comprehensive approach to solicitations. 

  • Partners with Foundation leaders and staff to implement strategies.

  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding revenue goals for foundation and corporate engagement.

  • Manages assigned staff in planning, coordinating and implementing their duties and evaluates their individual performance.

  • Identifies, evaluates and cultivates foundations and corporations and solicits sponsorships.

  • Establishes individual and team revenue targets and directs the solicitation activities of assigned prospects to meet and/or exceed annual goals.

  • Works with board members and volunteers to identify and cultivate sponsorship prospects that align with our vision and mission.

  • Stewards assigned foundations and corporations for their gifts, investments. and provides updates on the impact of current use and endowed named funds.

  • Plans and participates in prospect cultivation and donor recognition meetings and events.

  • Tracks donor contacts and cultivation activities utilizing foundation and approved donor/prospect customer relationship management (CRM) database.

  • Represents ION Medical Safety during corporate engagements, and local cause campaigns, including events and fund raising activities.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Skills & Qualifications:

 

Required:

​

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • At least five years of successful fundraising experience with corporations in a not for profit organization and at least three years of management experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to structure and coordinate efforts that maximize team efficiency and results.

  • Strong and effective writing, communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with  donors, prospects, staff, volunteers and the general public representing ION Medical Safety in a professional manner.

  • Experience in prospect development and enhancing relationships with foundations and corporate sponsorship and cause partners.

  • Well organized and able to manage multiple and diverse priorities.

  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
