Medical Errors are the 3rd leading cause of death in the U.S.  To address this challenge, ION Medical Safety, a non-profit organization is developing the World’s first learning healthcare system the PRECISE Surgical System™.  Designed with advanced technologies, the system will revolutionize surgery by enabling learning healthcare research, developing surgical best practices, delivering personalized patient centered care, and improving patient outcomes.  At ION Medical Safety we prevent medical errors and save lives.

 

The PRECISE TECH Corporation, a for profit public benefits corporation, will offer the PRECISE Surgical System™ and ION Life application to surgical facilities at zero cost.  Each custom system implementation will include trainings and certifications, clinical pathway franchising and medical malpractice insurance offerings generating hundreds of millions in revenue.

Position is part-time working an average of 10 hours per week.  ION Medical Safety is a start-up where team members work for a future benefit, including stock options and potential income compensation with benefits.

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Summary/Objective:

 

The Director of Human Resources will act in a high-level consultant role. This person will work to develop a compensation structure, experience designing compensation for healthcare startups and/or non-profits is a huge plus. This person will also need great communication skills to drive organization culture. This person will work with c-suite executives to drive a positive culture throughout the organization.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

​

  • Identify trends in compensation and benefits and make recommendations as appropriate to maintain organizational objectives and competitive position in the market.

 

  • Administer independent contractors’ performance policies and procedures; provide assistance and guidance to staff on disciplinary issues and action to be taken.

 

  • Monitor annual appraisal program including function descriptions, compensation administration, licensure and performance evaluations.

 

  • Administer organization-wide programs to include independent contractor’s opinion surveys, total rewards, leader and contributor development, supervisory relationships within areas of responsibility.

 

  • Create a streamlined Human Resource function that promotes sharing of resources, information and best practices within the organization.

 

  • Be the subject matter expert for HR compliance as it relates to accreditation and licensure, state and federal regulations and trends in HR management.

 

  • Assist in the development of policies and implementation as related to human resources.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

​

  • Bachelor’s Degree.

 

  • SPHR/PHR Certification in Human Resources or related discipline preferred.

 

  • Ability to develop HR strategy and vision to support business strategies and goals.

 

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in human resources.

 

  • Prior skilled nursing facility/healthcare experience preferred.

 

  • Thorough understanding of federal and state respective employment laws.

 

  • Excellent computer and organizational skills required.
