Medical Errors are the 3rd leading cause of death in the U.S.  To address this challenge, ION Medical Safety, a non-profit organization is developing the World’s first learning healthcare system the PRECISE Surgical System™.  Designed with advanced technologies, the system will revolutionize surgery by enabling learning healthcare research, developing surgical best practices, delivering personalized patient centered care, and improving patient outcomes.  At ION Medical Safety we prevent medical errors and save lives.

 

The PRECISE TECH Corporation, a for profit public benefits corporation, will offer the PRECISE Surgical System™ and ION Life application to surgical facilities at zero cost.  Each custom system implementation will include trainings and certifications, clinical pathway franchising and medical malpractice insurance offerings generating hundreds of millions in revenue.

Position is part-time working an average of 10 hours per week.  ION Medical Safety is a start-up where team members work for a future benefit, including stock options and potential income compensation with benefits.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective:

 

ION Medical Safety is looking for an experienced Software Applications Operations Director with a hands-on mindset and a focus on exceeding expectations, who operates with vision and integrity.  The Director of ION Life App Operations can expect to play an active role in driving sales, support and completion of projects, meet and report back to upper management, plan and monitor work schedules and cash flows, and work with multiple and diverse teams. Some of his/her responsibilities also include aligning application activities and projects with company goals and objectives, providing expert guidance and support, collaborating and approving policies, and maintaining positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

 

To be successful as the Director of ION Life App Operations, you should have exceptional leadership, communication and project management skills, years of management experience, and a belief in developing the skills and talents of others. Ideal candidates will have experience in identifying and navigating organizational changes, a keen interest in emerging trends in software operations and leadership, and an above-average emotional intelligence.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

This is a hands-on position, which will require the following capabilities:

​

  • Build, manage and develop a team of highly qualified sales and customer support specialists to drive efficient execution of the product roadmap while maintaining a high level of quality with a continuous improvement mindset.

 

  • Define, maintain, prioritize and communicate a logical technical roadmap that supports delivery of the product vision in collaboration with the Product Management team.

 

  • Providing technical guidance to the organization thru an intimate understanding of the ION Medical Safety products, capabilities, limitations and forward-looking roadmap.

 

  • Presenting budgets and plans around resourcing, hosting, tooling and other operations-related cost centers for ION Life App Operations.

 

  • Finding and implementing ways to improve cost-efficiency.

 

  • Define, analyze and oversee key metrics to drive constant improvement in the sales and customer support functions.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

​

  • 5 years of experience in software operations management.

 

  • 3 years of experience managing outsourced teams.

 

  • Masters and/or Bachelors degree within Industrial Engineering, Software Engineering or related fields.

 

  • Working experience with Android, IOS mobile software applications are a plus.

.

  • Industry experience with mobile software marketing and sales.
