Medical Errors are the 3rd leading cause of death in the U.S.  To address this challenge, ION Medical Safety, a non-profit organization is developing the World’s first learning healthcare system the PRECISE Surgical System™.  Designed with advanced technologies, the system will revolutionize surgery by enabling learning healthcare research, developing surgical best practices, delivering personalized patient centered care, and improving patient outcomes.  At ION Medical Safety we prevent medical errors and save lives.

 

The PRECISE TECH Corporation, a for profit public benefits corporation, will offer the PRECISE Surgical System™ and ION Life application to surgical facilities at zero cost.  Each custom system implementation will include trainings and certifications, clinical pathway franchising and medical malpractice insurance offerings generating hundreds of millions in revenue.

Position is part-time working an average of 10 hours per week.  ION Medical Safety is a start-up where team members work for a future benefit, including stock options and potential income compensation with benefits.

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Summary/Objective:

 

The Director of Marketing oversees implementation of the Marketing strategy - including campaigns, events, digital marketing, and PR. Working closely with the organization’s Revenue team; enabling them to meet their objectives by providing them with appropriate tools, materials and presentations.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drives the marketing plan for specific product lines with key clients.

 

  • Monitors the development of business plans, assesses market traction, and product positioning to drive competitive advantage, revenue and market share.

 

  • Directs the development of market requirements for specific product(s) or product line(s), including product strategy definition, requirements analysis, and pricing.  

 

  • Collaborates with marketing evangelist / technologist and innovation team on new major platform concepts and drives the market execution for these product lines.

 

  • Reduces broad concepts and business strategies into structured product marketing plans.

  • Oversees market research, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs.

 

  • Establishes pricing strategies and develops marketing tools for successful product introductions.

 

  • Communicates customer feedback to engineering, R&D and advanced platform teams to enhance existing product(s) or product line(s).

 

  • Leads new product definition and business plans with joint departments.

 

  • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the marketing function.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in setting vision, building, leading and motivating product management and development teams in healthcare organizations.

 

  • Lead by example with creativity, strategic thinking innovation and influencing skills.

 

  • 10+ years of work experience in interacting with healthcare clients and acting as an evangelist for the organization’s mission and vision among strategic customers and internal operations units.

 

  • Bachelors or higher educational background, MBA preferred.
